Final Day of Táin March in Omeath. Medb meets Cúchulainn – Don’t miss it!
The last day of The Táin March 2017 will begin at The Lumpers Pub in Ravensdale at 9:00am on Bank Holiday Monday morning and begin its final descent into Omeath.
Everyone and anyone is invited to dress as warriors and join the glorious walk across the Cooley Mountains hosting some of the the most spectacular views of the entire journey which started off in Roscommon three weeks ago.
The people of Omeath are ready to greet Medb’s weary soldiers in Celtic traditional style!
A hundred children from three local schools will form two armies, each supporting their warrior of choice and the arrival will begin an afternoon of music, dancing and feasting.
The merriment will be set against the shores of Carlingford Lough, looking across at the majestic Mountains of Mourne.
A celtic feast will welcome them alongside a reenactment of Medb’s arrival and her final face to face confrontation with Cúchulainn.
